Targeting girls’ education, the Ng’apa Girl’s Hostel in Lindi provided safe accommodation for 50 girls, thereby addressing distance, safety, and dropout issues. Constructed with community participation and funded by GGHSP, it strengthened school governance and fostered community ownership, which are vital for sustainability. The project improved attendance, retention, and academic performance, while capacity building for local committees enhanced resource management. Similar initiatives in Nachingwea and other regions reinforced the model’s success in creating safe learning environments, emphasizing community engagement, and leveraging partnerships for infrastructure development.
